Though there is not much on the Illuminati as compared to the Freemasons who have a plethora of authors publishing esoteric material, many theorists have opted to use terms such as the "Cabal" to group these manipulative organizations. Truth is, we don't know who is what outside of the puppets used, at least not officially yet and much has been hidden. For example, even as a child I found that the history taught in schools were incomplete. Despite all sensitivity, I was the kid that kept asking why did Hitler want to exterminate the Jews. Not just ship them out, not enslave them, but Hitler wanted mass extermination. I was left drastically unsatisfied with my schooling that would spend a whole section every year dedicated to the Jewish Holocaust. American Indians got a paragraph in the book, African Americans got a few heroes, don't talk about the Armenian Holocaust or any other genocide for that matter, but the Jewish Holocaust got a significant amount of time over our education system providing the same simplistic information over and over again. It wasn't until I started studying the occult world in late high school that I started seeing WWII from a completely different perspective, especially with an organization that adopted one of the most sacred symbols used throughout the planet. Moreover, when diving into any major historical event, these occult societies had some major influence left undisclosed to the mass public.  Going through the occult material, there was always some sort of war/competition between individuals, sects, etc. More on point, going back to ancient times before the labeling of these groups, you had the White Brotherhood vs. the Black Brotherhood. However, no one knew exactly who was which. Maybe the masons were highly influenced by the White Brotherhood, but was infiltrated by the Black. Provided that masons trace their lineage at least to the Knights Templar, which were ordered to be destroyed by the Catholic Church on a fated Friday the 13th, the Catholic Church has typically opposed the Masons, which makes you wonder if the rivalry between the Catholic Church and Masonry is akin to the White v. Black Brotherhood. Currently, we have noticed more animosity towards the corporate and banking industry, both having their roots in the Catholic Church (corporate structure) and the Knights Templar (interest rates; when under the Catholic Church). So is it fair to pinpoint Masons as the Illuminati? To pinpoint one organization as the White or Black Brotherhood would be quite difficult as history has shown these organizations to hold both positive and negative qualities. Much like any of these esoteric organizations and exoteric religious groups, there is the good and bad. Much like our ancient spiritual practices were usurped by patriarchal dominate energies, which led to highly spiritual practices being perverted to being tools of manipulation and control, including human sacrifices, it seems that if there was a Black Brotherhood, they would try to infiltrate every organization where the capabilities of manipulating and controlling others would be high. That would include every major political organization as well as every religion. If you control the people's politics, you control the parameters of society. If you control the people's religion, you control their belief system that either blocks or expands spirit (hence, the creation of monotheism; you bow to their entity).  However, the public's focus had been too much on the external organizations, the macro when really the individual, the micro, is the key to unlocking the appropriately named Illuminati. With the Illuminati using the term "illumination" much like "enlighten" and using symbols considered sacred to the ancients, such as the all-seeing-eye on top of the pyramid representing the third-eye, from an occult perspective, the Illuminati would seem to be a positive thing to awaken humanity. Nonetheless, this organization has been tied to all of the major wars, financial scandals and conspiracies, pretty much our collective idea of the devil. But, "as within, so without", the external circumstances and our awareness of such negativity maybe simply an attempt to "illuminate" the darkness within ourselves, the darkness within our collective consciousness. Please attempt to view the entities about you as part of the Creator. - RA, The Law of One, Book II As one of the main proponents of the shift from 3rd density free-will into the 4th density love, as well as pushing the disclosures on the organization he labels as the "Cabal", David Wilcock has been one of the best sources I've come across to help better understand our current predicament. Moreover, his main source, which also has been the source for numerous new age teachers, is the channeled material The Law of One from the entity RA. As has been expressed above, The Law of One was provided to the ancients, but was quickly misused to control and dominate others. Hence, the use of these esoteric symbols that were once used to uplift each individual had been diluted and rearranged so that only a few can be uplifted, which would lead to domination over others.

However, we as a collective similarly have a karma to be cleared. Be it the collective humanity, the collective nation that you live in, the collective religion that you fall under, the collective city that you live in, there are plenty of attachments on both the individual and collective level that affect our progress. Often times, it takes a catastrophe to act as a catalyst to clear karma, which is objectively seen as creating change. For example, we need the corruption and manipulation of our financial institutions to show us as humanity that we were not meant to be slaves to the dollar. Without such corruption, many of us would be pummeling our way as a work machine living pay check to pay check without any question about the bigger picture of our lives. Another example, Christians need the terrible forms of Islam to put into play the teachings of Christ, of turning the other cheek, of loving thy neighbor, and most of all for all us, the gift of forgiveness. As The Law of One teaches, as the same with A Course in Miracles and other channeled materials, forgiveness is the scissors that cut our karmic attachments. Another words, to forgive is to negate karma. I am Ra. Our understanding of karma is that which may be called inertia. Those actions which are put into motion will continue using the ways of balancing until such time as the controlling or higher principle which you may liken unto your braking or stopping is invoked. The stoppage of the inertia of action may be called forgiveness. These two concepts are inseparable. -RA, The Law of One, Book II So when we think of the Illuminati, or the Cabal, or Satan, are they not but simply catalysts for humanity to place its awareness either in flight-or-fight karmic creating mode, or into a loving forgiveness karmic clearing mode. Post Sept. 11, 2001, it was flight-or-fight with the Islamic world here in the West. As a non-Muslim Indian male, no doubt the racism and tension was thick where is appears Americans lacked the ability to distinguish ethnic and religious backgrounds. However, Post Nov. 13, 2015 (Friday the 13th), the Wold seems to carry a bit more compassion towards Muslims, where the mob mentality of quickly grabbing the pitchfork seemed to be lacking, unlike it's Sept. 11, 2001 counterpart. That should be significant evidence that there has been a shift in perspective occurring at least in Western World.
