Even today, I still fathom the idea that maybe my beloved Hindu deities are nothing more than simply the fallen angels, the nephilim, the annunaki, the prometheus (light bearer). The notable Zecharia Sitchin discusses briefly the similarities of many ancient cultures with the belief that they were derived from ancient Sumerian culture, including the similarities between the Vedas and Greek Mythology. The Aryans of India are considered to be the Hurrians, another Mesopotamian group. Sitchin points to the idea that even one scholar (B. Hrozny) has considered the Hurrians to be the "oldest Hindus" based on his study. (Sitchin, The 12th Planet).
Moreover, ancient history can be so diluted where any honorable figure can be mistaken as a "god", especially if there is a backdrop supporting story. The United States is a perfect example, where it appears that the founders have attempted to create an esoteric landscape akin to Egypt in Washington D.C. A land most likely influenced by Francis Bacon's "New Atlantis", and further embellished with the esoteric story of George Washington who was alleged to be in contact with a guiding female entity, the beginning of U.S. history has been expressed to something more spiritual, or at least that is what our masonic brethren have instilled. George Washington can be further found in sculpture doing the "as above, so below" salute as well as ascending in the "Apotheosis of Washington". Now I ask, should there be another catastrophic shift, and a civilization hundreds of years from the shift begins to discover the remnants of Washington D.C., would they not think that we worshiped our Presidents, etc.?
With viewing deities/archetypes as simply Ascending Masters, suddenly, these entities become much more approachable. In doing japa/mala mantra meditations and focusing on a particular Master, I receive a different sensation. In invoking Ganesha I receive this bulky bloated feeling, a Shepherd overtook my body while doing a healing meditation, Krishna is akin to a brilliant happy adventurous citrine stone, Lakshmi and the Hathors are completely loving like a child in his/her mother's arms, Kali makes my blood boil which needs to be cooled down with Shiva. Although I can easily dismiss these sensations, it does leave me with the feeling that as opposed to a bodily figure, these are essentially energetics (strengthened by our Collective Consciousness) that we attempt to invoke within ourselves when we face certain situations in our lives. For is not the sensation of each of the entities raised a particular frequency of our Source? Hence, the Ascending Masters have essentially become different frequencies that assist me on my path, but are not necessarily the end game of our return to the Source, if there is such a return. I now see the communion with God of the right hand path as becoming God of the left hand path where since you are God, you have the ability to manipulate your environment. I think our evolutionary process, especially evolution of our consciousness, is to ever become more like God.
When the mind is united to the core of consciousness, every observable phenomena and even the void appear as a form of consciousness. Siva Sutra v.15, Jaideva Singh Translation.
